Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Airport arrival and transfer to hotel
Arrive at Amman International Airoprt. You will be met by Desert Adventures representatives at Queen Alia International Airport who will organise your transfer to your Amman Hotel. Overnight in Amman
Day 2 Amman City Tour, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Dead Sea, Karak, Petra
After breakfast you will be able to take the Amman City tour then visit Madaba the
city of Mosaics, which has the oldest known mosaic map of the holy land, after
that it is on to view the Jordan Valley from the famous Mount Nebo visiting its
Byzantine Church. You will then proceed to Dead Sea which is the lowest
point on earth 400 meters below sea level. The Dead Sea is one of the most
incredible places in the world with no living fish due to the salt content being four times that of normal sea water; swimming is interesting as it is virtually impossible to sink!
Afterwards you will continue to Kerak, touring its Castle, one of the finest examples of Crusader military construction, Transfer to Petra for Overnight stay
Day 3 Petra
You will have a full day visiting the rose-red city known as Sela in the Bible and lost to the world for five centuries until it was rediscovered in 1812. Enter Petra on Horseback through a narrow gorge carved in the sandstone and opening on the stunning view of the Treasury, made famous in the movie “Indiana
Jones and the Temple of Doom”. Visit the High Palaces and the
Roman-Style Palace Tomb, you will stay in Petra Overnight.
Day 4 Petra Aqaba, Wadi Rum Amman
Free Morning at Petra before travelling to Aqaba, famous for its water sports and adventure activates; you may of course simply relax! For those who prefer their marine life at arm's length, glass-bottomed boats are a fun way to enjoy the marvels of the Red Sea. Wadi Rum, almost 40km from Petra, where the movie Lawrence of Arabia and Red Planet was filmed is a uniquely shaped massive mountain that rose amongst the rosy red sand of the desert with towering red-hued cliffs. Amongst this emptiness and silence you can camp and explore the desert in 4x4 Jeeps visiting the holographic pictures carved before Christ before returning to Amman for your overnight stay
Day 5 Amman International Airport
You will be collected from your hotel for transfer to QAA for your departure
