The Atlantis Resort is set on Paradise Island and is the world's largest island resort destination. This resort will suit both the adventurer and those seeking relaxation where they can choose between either thrilling waterslides or the endless blue ocean. The resort is based on the ancient mythical Lost Continent of Atlantis that was lost at sea, without a trace over 11,000 years ago. This mythical place can be rediscovered in the resort where guests can journey through an archaeological dig to explore a fascinating labyrinth of underwater ruins. Located on the northern edge of Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, it was one of the first tourist destinations and still remains one of the best. The name Paradise Island is a reflection of the true natural beauty of the island. The resort is approximately 15 miles from the main airport.

There is a wide selection of dining facilities to choose from, from formal to buffet express and exciting bars, clubs and lounges. Guests can dine in ultimate sophistication at the Five Twins Restaurant or in the casual poolside atmosphere of the Lagoon Bar and Grill. Cuisines vary from fresh seafood to exotic Bahamian cuisine so there is something for everyone. At Dragons, guests can dance the night away to the Bahamas’ most popular bands. Located just off the Casino it offers hot music and refreshing cocktails. The resort is home to the largest casino in the Caribbean! The casino links the towers and spans the seven acre lagoon. It has over 800 slot machines as well as 78 games tables including Blackjack, Roulette and Poker. The resort also boasts one of the largest open air aquariums in the world. Here guests are able to see upto 50,000 sea creatures including tropical fish, barracuda, piranha and turtles. . On certain days guests are invited to join the sea keepers for daily fish feeding. The Mayan Temple Water Slides is one of the resorts highlights. The 'Leap of Faith' slide is a 60 foot vertical drop propelling riders at speeds of 35 miles an hour as they pass through a clear tunnel submerged in the shark filled lagoon. Close to the resort is the Ocean Club Golf Course which offers an 18-hole championship holes which have been designed by Tom Weiskopf.
