In terms of hotel architecture, it is hard to imagine a more original design scenario than a Boston luxury hotel created from an iconic 19th-century jail. Built in 1851, the Charles Street Jail was thought to be one of the best examples of the ‘Boston Granite Style' of the mid-19th century. Recently renovated, the interior design reflects a passionate commitment to authenticity, while a more playful attitude defines its day-to-day style. Within the main building, there are 18 guest rooms, a grand ballroom and one of the city's hottest nightlife venues. Adjacent to a historical gallery of images and tales from the last 150 years, a 16-storey tower houses 280 guestrooms, enhanced by expansive views of Boston. Fully air-conditioned, the hotel also features a lobby, lift access, several restaurants, WLAN Internet access and room service. Guests arriving by vehicle can make use of the on-site car park and business guests will appreciate the conference facilities available at the hotel.

Graciously appointed in tones of pale rose and taupe and accented with rich mahogany woods and touches of stainless steel, the guest rooms range in size from 37 m² to 74 m². Floor-to-ceiling windows, some of which are behind ornate ironwork, and sleek 4-fixture en suite bathrooms add to the memorable experience at this leading luxury hotel. The 1-bedroom Escape suites overlook the Charles River with views of Beacon Hill rooftops, the Esplanade and the Back Bay skyline. Each luxury suite has a master bedroom with a king-size bed, 1.5 bathrooms, as well as a separate living and dining area. The 204 m² Presidential Suite features panoramic views of the city through the floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as a master bedroom, spacious living room, dining room with butler pantry, library, master bathroom with a dressing room, contemporary furnishings and artwork. From Logan Airport and the east: Follow the exit to Route 1A south. Take Route 1A south through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs to Storrow Dr. (stay in right lane). Take Storrow Dr. west to Government Center exit (left exit). At the end of the ramp at the flashing signal, proceed anti-clockwise (left) around the circle to reverse your direction. The entrance to the hotel is directly ahead on Charles St. on the right-hand side.
