Rooms at the Commodore are both spacious and comfortable providing all the facilities and amenities you need and more to ensure a memorable and enjoyable stay. Choose between standard and business class rooms as well as a selection of suites. There are 198 rooms each of which is decorated in a tasteful nautical style with stunning views of the harbour and Table Mountain. The 27 business rooms available provide guests with extra space and facilities to meet all their requirements including a modem line to keep you updated on your business affairs. The 10 first class suites include a spacious lounge, a dining area and boast spectacular city views.

The Commodore boasts some of the most delicious cuisine that Cape Town has to offer. Delectable Seafood specialities are prepared at the Clipper Restaurant all fresh that day from the Atlantic Ocean. The Clipper also offers a sumptuous buffet style breakfast with a host of options that will leave you spoilt for choice. Additional facilities The Commodore offers include a well equipped gym, an outdoor pool, massage therapy as well as a sauna and steam room. There is also an extensive conferencing facilities with a business centre offering a range of business services.

The Clipper Restaurant- Opening onto a terracotta terrace, the hotel’s restaurant serves a buffet breakfast of fresh fruit, continental meats, and freshly baked breads, whilst the lunch and dinner menu includes local and international meat, game, and fish dishes such as Chicken Supreme Stuffed with Biltong and Cheese, Soy Basted Salmon on Buckwheat Noodles, and Moroccan Spiced Lamb Shank.

The Admiralty Lounge - Open 24 hours a day, the bar and lounge area is a relaxing space with deep armchairs and sofas, and serves a wide selection of light meals, teas and cocktails.

Cape Malay Restaurant
The Commodore’s sister hotel is next door and is home to a traditional Cape Malay restaurant. Housed in what used to be The Cape Colony convict station the beautifully restored Quarterdeck restaurant serves a wide selection of local dishes and is rich in history and culture.
