The Woodbury Lodge is set in a spectacular Frantz above the Bushman’s River Valley. This superb Lodge offers an intimate and tranquil experience of the Eastern Cape Valley Bushveld at its best. The lodge is part of a series of accommodations within the Amakhala private Game Reserve, which is situated just 60 kilometres from Port Elizabeth. Here you will discover comfortable relaxed accommodations, in elegant surroundings that are designed to blend seamlessly with the nature of the environment.

Accommodation at the Woodbury Lodge consists of 4 beautifully appointed traditional stone and thatch lodges. The private seclusion of these lodges and the unique thoughtful design of the bathrooms and individual outdoor relaxation areas, enable visitors to enjoy the enchanting and breathtaking views at their leisure. Although in a traditional style, the lodges are equipped with the full range of modern conveniences for your comfort, including en suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

Meals with a distinct African flavour are served in a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere in the cosy central dinning room. You can also make the most of the on site bar which serves a range of refreshing cocktails, or why not take your drink and savour the atmosphere in front of the roaring outdoor fire. Breakfast is served al fresco on the open deck which overlooks the park. Guests also have the opportunity to take part in game viewing and other activities during their stay at the Woodbury Lodge. Some of these activities include a river cruise, guided walks, picnics and canoeing or, for the less adventurous why not just relax around the pool and enjoy the balmy South African Sun.
