Wedding Requirements
It’s very easy to get married in Barbados. To obtain a marriage license, both parties must fill in an application in person at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs. There is no minimum residency required in Barbados however it is recommended to arrive at least 2 days prior to the wedding day.

The following documents are required in their original form at the Office of Ministry Affairs:
• Original copies of Birth Certificates and Passports
• If a divorcee, proof of Decree Absolute is required.
• If a widow/widower, copy of Death Certificate is required.
• Parental consent in the form of a sworn affidavit if one of the parties is under 18.
• Fees for license approximately BDS$150.00
