Dubai is one of our top wedding and honeymoon destinations and
it’s not hard to see why!
Weddings or honeymoons in Dubai are romantic and exclusive with practically
guaranteed good weather. Dubai forms one of the seven states of the United Arab
Emirates and is well known for its intriguing East meets West image. Dubai city
began as a fishing, pearl diving and trading hub on the banks of the Dubai Creek
and has transformed into a trading and commercial metropolis blessed with many of
the world’s finest luxury hotels, year round sunshine, breathtaking beaches and
desert, and top class entertainment facilities.
In Dubai you can tailor your wedding to exactly what you want, whether
it’s a mystical desert ceremony or a beautiful beachside blessing. Having your honeymoon
in Dubai will ensure you always have plenty to do with a staggering array of recreational
activities available, ranging from championship golf courses, yachting marinas and
water sports, to desert safaris, prestigious horse racing events and unrivalled
shopping. Why not combine some of these activities with a romantic sunset cruise
along the Creek, a traditional Arabic dinner at a Bedouin camp or a wander through
the world famous Gold Souks and the colourful spice markets in Dubai’s ‘old city’.
Whatever your expectations, Dubai is sure to exceed them and ensure your wedding
or honeymoon is truly unique.

Wedding Requirements
|
Dubai is currently a very popular wedding destination as the cost of a wedding in
Dubai compares favourably to most European destinations. Muslim, Christian and Hindu
ceremonies can all be accommodated although differing regulations apply for civil
weddings. For British citizens, statuary requirements state that the marriage ceremony
should be conducted in the Anglican Church, so it is legally recognised by the British
and U.A.E laws. This can be followed up by a blessing at a chosen venue eg. beach,
desert. Non-British citizens can be married at a chosen venue outside the church
and their marriage will be valid.
Although there is no residency period required in Dubai prior to a marriage ceremony,
it is recommended to stay for a minimum of 4 days prior to the wedding to allow
enough time to be introduced to the reverend, check the venue and have the relevant
documentation checked. The application for the marriage license can take 2-3 days
to process. It is advisable to contact the relevant Embassy and find out the particular
requirements and regulations for the Marriage license. Please be advised that U.A.E
Government offices are closed on Thursdays and Fridays.
Copies of the following documents are needed to be passed to the tour operator at
least 4 weeks prior to the wedding to be checked. The ceremony will need to be booked
at least two weeks in advance. The vicar will also require a pre-wedding meeting
when original copies of these documents are checked;
|
|
• Original copies of Birth Certificates and Passports |
|
• 4 x passport photographs
|
|
• If one of the parties has been divorced, a copy of the Decree Absolute. |
|
• If one of the parties is a widow or widower, a copy of the Death Certificate. |
|
Two witnesses are required for an Anglican wedding.

dependant on price which generally includes the following:
