The Maldives are situated 300 miles southwest of the southern tip of India in the Pacific Ocean. It's a place for the romantic with private bungalows, crystal blue lagoons, waving palm trees, fabulous beaches and an ultra relaxed lifestyle.
The Maldives are made up of over 1192 islands surrounded by coral reefs and formed around lagoons. Over 90 islands provide accommodation, each island limited to one resort. Many of the resorts have bungalows situated on the waters edge or in the shallow waters upon stilts; this is private and exclusive accommodation ideal for a honeymoon.
