Maldives Weather Overview

The Maldives have a pleasant average year round temperature of 30°C (86°F) during the daytime and can fall to the low 20°Cs (low 70°Fs) during monsoon months. The climate is generally hot and humid and the nights can be quite muggy. The southwest monsoon period from May to November generates the most rain, storms and the least sun. The second monsoon period of the northeast monsoon or ruvai lasts from December to March. During this period the climate is generally dry and cool.
