‘Tropical vistas, delightful beachfront’

Located around an hour's drive from Phuket International Airport, Le Meridien Khao Lak offers a five star beach resort perfect for both couples and families, with scenic views across areas of tropical forest and adjacent islands providing a beautiful backdrop. Graced by an indulgent spa and home of the excellent, authentic Baan Thai restaurant, this fine hotel features something for everyone. A large, attractive pool area is a great way to cool off from the heat, and this backs onto a beautiful slice of beach which is perhaps the finest in the vicinity. A kids club is open on a seasonal basis and offers activities for younger guests.


‘A Destinology member of staff enjoyed a 4 night stay here as part of his honeymoon in May 2008, and gave great feedback detailing the food, pool and beach as particular highlights. A trip to the nearby Khao Lak Eco Centre is also strongly recommended for a rustic, Thai style rambling experience on the back of elephants; also there is a small food shack on the beach called Rim Laay Restaurant. The food here has comes highly recommended for its simple authenticity and flavour'

A beautiful restaurant for the finest Thai cuisine. Air conditioned indoor seating, or enjoy your meal outdoors and watch the sun setting as the birds tweet in the trees. Open from 06:30 – 22:30.
Café Lilawadee
All day dining restaurant serving buffet breakfast, fine salads, seafood and pasta for lunch and a whole host of evening meals from Asia, Europe and beyond. Open 06:30 – 22:30.
Bangsak Grill
Mediterranean dining including pizza, pastas and salads as well as locally inspired fare and surf and turf. Open 11:00 – 16:00 and 18:30 – 22:30.
KUK KAK Bar & Grill
Thai styled venue serving Indian cuisine and steaks. Live music often graces evenings spent here. Open from 06:30 – 01:00.
Lobby Lounge
Relax with a brandy or a sundowner cocktail and gaze out to the Andaman Sea.
Bamboo Bar and Seafood Grill
Beachfront location for this lovely venue, where you can enjoy freshly caught and prepared seafood overlooking the beach and sea. Open from 10:00 – 23:00.
Twin Lake Pavilion
Authentic Korean BBQ tables overlooking the twin lakes at the front of the hotel. Also serves an extensive array of sashimi and sushi. Open from 18:30 – 22:30.

Le Spa: Perhaps the highlight of the resort, the spa encapsulates everything about South Thailand with a blend of subtle fragrances, gentle music and soothing treatments designed to relax both the body and the mind. A tropical garden setting and some luscious interiors make for the perfect haven to unwind. The spa features a special couple’s treatment room as well as an outdoor Jacuzzi bath and relaxing day beds where you can sip lemon tea before or after your session.  
Sport Centre: Launched in June 2009, this great facility features two tennis courts with all weather flooring and floodlights, a 28m golf driving range, an 18 hole mini golf course, a 12 x 28m archery range and a 4.5 x 4.5m open air boxing ring. Driving range, archery and boxing lessons are free of charge. Mountain bikes can also be hired here at a small cost.
