Framed in the north-west by a great mountain range this has become the place for a relaxation resort. Only a short distance away is the town of Mae Hong Son which feels like you have stepped back in time. The shops and markers specialise in local handicrafts, and shouldn’t be missed. It is situated at the edge of this town centre, which is approximately 2.5 km from the airport.

The Imperial Tara Mae Hong Son is located in a teak-wood forest, carefully designed in an style that combines the Thai Yai and Lanna traditional style of the North, and takes great care to ensure that it compliments the natural environment. Framed in the north-west by a great mountain range this has become the place for a relaxation resort. Only a short distance away is the town of Mae Hong Son which feels like you have stepped back in time. The shops and markers specialise in local handicrafts, and shouldn’t be missed. It is situated at the edge of this town centre, which is approximately 2.5 km from the airport.

All rooms are built within a low rise terrace to face the tropical gardens and the rippling stream. The buildings are never taller than the height of the trees so they intermingle with the natural forest environment. Rooms come complete with amenities such as: en-suite bath and shower, telephone, air-conditioning, refrigerator, mini-bar, hairdryer, safe and satellite television. Guest accommodation is set in either the Deluxe room or Tara suite.

The Golden Teak Restaurant offers a full range of Thai, Chinese, and European cuisine, along with an array of local specialities. The restaurant is light and airy and also provides lovely views of the Imperial hotel. There is also a cocktail lounge for guests to enjoy. Although it seems as though the local area has escaped the midst of time, the hotel boasts modern facilities to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The Health and Recreation Club is on hand for those wishing to exercise or unwind. This includes an open-air swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and massage facilities. There are excursions and day trips offered to nearby locations which include, golf and other sports outings.
