Helengeli Island is one of the most natural and untouched resorts that the Maldives has to offer. Lush tropical vegetation is fringed on the edge of finest white sand surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. The resort itself was developed with the preservation of island’s delicate environment in mind, and visitors are made to feel nicely secluded during their stay. To reach the hotel it requires a 15 minute trip by seaplane and an hour by speedboat, and is just 15 miles from Male International Airport.

The resort consists of 50 air-conditioned beach front bungalows which are scattered within natural surroundings which help to emphasise the tropical charm of the Island.

The Helengeli Resort offers guests a selection of culinary delights, such as continental and exotic Oriental dishes. Occasional beach BBQ’s and exclusive beach dinners round off the wide choice of dining events. The bar is set on a wooden deck and is an ideal place to spot dolphins as you unwind with a drink of your choice. The location of the unspolit house reef is within easy access for snorkellers and divers. Nearby there are around 40 quiet dive sites to choose from and the resort offers guests a chance to make use of their diving school. This resort is a great place to enjoy a variety of both land and water sports such as volleyball, table tennis and snorkelling. There are a variety of excursions to vary your stay, such as trips to an uninhabited local island which will give you a unique opportunity to experience a different side to the Maldives. Others include night sea fishing, snorkelling with mantas or dolphin watching. Guests are welcomed to be pampered at the Duniye Spa where therapists offer a wide selection of treatments including aromatherapy, foot massages or the traditional Thai Treatments.
