Vakarufalhi has nature in abundance; this idyllic round island is only 240 metres wide therefore providing guests with a very intimate atmosphere. The island is lush in vegetation and punctuated by lofty coconut trees. The house reef is perfect for snorkelling and diving and is no more than 50 metres from the beach. The beach has fine white sands complemented by the shallow blue lagoon and along with the rustling of the palms; guests are able to simply blend in with nature. Located on the South Ari Atoll, it is 90 kilometres from the airport and is reached in approximately 25 minutes by seaplane.

The Beach Bungalows flow with the islands natural splendour and are spaced out to ensure maximum privacy for guests. In keeping with the Maldivian feel of the resort, all rooms are particularly spacious and airy. All have the following modern amenities:

The island is home to a single restaurant and bar. The restaurant offers guests an excellent section of cuisine. There are a number of special dinners which are planned in the evening, such as a Maldivian buffet or a candlelit meal. The Vakaru Bar is found on the fine white sands to enable total comfort. The bar is home to a variety of wines, champagnes and spirits. A cocktail which has been come a firm favourite at the resort is known as the “Vakaru Queen". Vakarufalhi offers many different excursions such as morning or night fishing, snorkelling safaris as well as the chance to visit other local islands. The Duniye Spa provides massages and beauty treatments. Some massages are done on a rectangular viewing port on the floor decking, so guests are able to gaze in to the crystal ocean as they relax.
