LocationLa Plantation is situated on the north west coast of Mauritius, 15 minutes from Port Louis, the capital, and 15 minutes from Grand Bay, the tourist spot of the island. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam airport is an hour's drive.
The peaceful resort is set within eight acres around a huge pool, palm trees, coconut trees and tropical flowers. Its beach on the border of the lagoon is ideal for sunbathing and dinner.
AccommodationAll rooms 270 are air conditioned. They are spread over 2 floors of the main building and in villas in the middle of a tropical garden. The rooms have the same equipment of comfort: mini bar, television, with 3 local channels and 8 satellite channels, direct telephone line, individual safe, bathroom with bathtub and hair dryer and separate toilet. Some of the rooms are comunicating.
They are classified in 5 categories:
Standard rooms - are 64 m2 and have a king size (2m x 2m) or 2 separate beds. They are all facing the garden. It is possible to add a bed for a child of less than 12 years.
Privilege rooms - are between 64 m2 and 72 m2 and have a king size bed (2m x 2m) or 2 separate beds. They are either facing the garden or the ocean. It is possible to add a bed for a child of less than 12 years. Extras: Bathrobe, beach towels, electric kettle, tea and coffee facilities.
Family rooms - are 72 m2 and have a room with a king size bed for the parents and a room with a bunk-bed for the children. They are either facing the Citron River or the pool. Children less than 12 years old are free of charge on half board.
Suites with view on the Citron River have a surface area of 120 m2. They have a room with a king size bed (2m x 2m), a room for the children with two separate beds, two bathrooms and two separate toilets.
NB - The hotel has four rooms for handicapped persons set up on the same level, with bathtub equipped with handles and ramp for access as well as toilets adjusted for wheel chairs.

Food and BeverageLa Plantation hotel has three restaurants and two bars. The guests on half board are welcomed at Domaine des épices restaurant for dinner. They have access to the two other restaurants where they will benefit of a credit of 400 Mauritian rupees per person.
Le Domaine des épices - is the main dining room of the hotel. Breakfast buffet are served by the pool side. Guests can enjoy a different theme buffet each night: Chinese, Indian, Italian, seafood.
Fleur de canne - this restaurant offers a gourmet card in a romantic decor. It is set up in the middle of a basin with small islands in open air. It has also an air-conditioned section. It welcomes guests daily for dinner.
L’Amiral - This restaurant & bar, located on the beach is opened daily for lunch and dinner.
Le Cylo - is in the middle of the pools, facing the dance floor and the band. It is the main bar of the hotel. It is opened everyday with sandwiches and salads served for lunch. It is the place to participate in the entertainment and games organised, and to watch the fashion and folkloric shows.
Le Colonial - is opened everyday on the first floor, next to the shop. This discreet bar is a place of serenity and relaxation for those who wish to enjoy peaceful moments.

Le Majakaro discotheque, is opened from 22.30pm to 2.00am on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Le Dauphin Kid’s Club, is the dedicated area for the kids from 3 to 12 years of age, from 9.00am to 9.00pm. It has a space with toboggans and slides in the garden and equipped with television and video… The entertainment team proposes various activities: drawing competition, football, games in the garden, indoor games, team building, beach games and nature walk in the vicinity.
