OverviewThe Legends Hotel in Mauritius is based upon the Chinese Philosophy of Feng Shui and allows guests to stay in the most harmonious and tranquil environment possible. This means everything is set around the five elements of air, wood, fire, earth and metal. It is their corresponding colours and smells which promises ultimate relaxation for both the mind and body. The famous Pamplemousse Botanical Gardens are just a 15 minute drive from the Hotel. Legends is set in the North Eastern corner of Mauritius in the sandy fishing village of Grand Gaube. The Hotel is one hours drive from the Airport and 25 minutes from the capital city of Port Louis.
Guest RoomsAll the rooms are individually air-conditioned and offer modern amenities such as mini bar, personal safe, telephone, colour TV and bathroom with bath, shower and separate toilet. All have a balcony or terrace with a sea view. Each of the rooms are decorated to a specific Feng Shui element. The Superior Room has the main element of metal, the Deluxe Room water enhanced with wood, the Junior Suite has wood and Senior Suites have a main element of earth. They are all enhanced by two other elements. The emperor villa contains all five of the Feng Shui elements. It is fitted with a modern kitchenette, Jacuzzi and a private outdoor stone garden with a pool and barbecue area with a gazebo. The main feature of this villa is its private beach.
FacilitiesThere are a variety of different restaurants at the resort which cater for all tastes. This includes The Kharma House, which is one of the most prestigious and specialises in a "East meets West" cuisine. This split-level restaurant has an open kitchen, a walk in-wine cellar and outdoor terrace. The Spirit Bar and Lounge has an elegant atmosphere where guests can enjoy a quiet drink and it has a distinctive feel of an old English club with a choice of Havana cigars and a magnificent library. Lounge style music flows through the 'Champagne and Caviar' corner which will remain as a classic memory. The Legends Hotel has its own state of the art Spa called “Thalaspa, The Source”. This is based on the combination of Thalasso and Spa to help increase well being and serenity. It offers new experiences of deep relaxation such as “stone therapy” which uses magnetic and spiritual energies of heated stones to relieve stiff and sore muscles. It offers 3 Jacuzzis, 5 massaging rooms, a hydrotherapy room and more. The pool is approximately 500 metres squared and is set to overlook the heavenly cove. Guests are invited to get involved with the many water sports happening such as windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, and water skiing. Land sports include a gym, sauna, beach volley and mini golf are included free of charge.
