The Al Bandar hotel is the centre of this exclusive resort and has a calming and peaceful feel to it with open public areas in which to sit and relax surrounded by lush green plants and water features. The resort is located along the southeast Arabian Peninsula, famous for its beautiful beaches and fascinating local culture and heritage. Nearby the resort guests can visit traditional markets, ancient forts, majestic Mosques and gold and spice Souks. The Al Bandar hotel has extensive sports and leisure facilities which include a fully equipped Health and Fitness Club with a gymnasium and daily classes, a PADI dive centre and scuba diving, and the Chi Spa with rejuvenating body treatments, tennis courts, 6000 sq metres of swimming pools, dolphin and whale watching trips and much more. There is also a shopping mall at the resort which caters to guest’s daily needs. The Al Bandar Hotel has access to all 19 restaurants in the complex but has its own superb restaurants which include the Al Bandar Lounge which is the best place to sit and have high tea, the chic Al Tamoor Restaurant which serves an all day a la carte menu with many traditional Middle Eastern dishes. The Tapas and Sablah piazza is an atmospheric place to eat at in the heart of the resort where Mediterranean Tapas and Oriental Mezze are served late into the night. The newly opened Omani Heritage Village is the newest feature of the resort and is the first of its kind. The Village is a place where visitors can explore the local culture, architectural heritage and much more. The village even has its own souq which showcases local artisans and special events. The guest rooms and suites at the Al Bandar have been custom designed to provide a high level of comfort whilst retaining a stylised look. The furnishing and décor are of the highest quality and combine classic European designs with a hint of the East in the fabrics and artwork. All the rooms and suites have spectacular views over the Gulf of Oman from the large private balconies. The standard in-room amenities consist of coffee/tea making facilities, minibar, safe, hairdryer, iron, satelite TV, broadband internet and telephone.
