Desroches Island welcomes families and children of all ages. There is particular emphasis on providing fun and entertaining activities for children such as sports, environmental and creative activities. The children’s programmes at Desroches Island educate and entertain children throughout their holiday, leaving them with amazing memories of the Seychelles.
Accommodation
• Beach Suites accommodate 1 or 2 adults & 2 children (an extra bed will be provided in place of the sitting area sofa
• Beach Villas up to 8 people in total in four bedrooms
• Dibwa Residence and Madam Zabre – up to 10 people in total in five bedrooms

• The island will do all possible to offer suitable children’s meals and times eg: fish and chicken with French fries, burgers, a range of pastas and pizzas and other preferences
• Baby food and other specific baby items ie: nappies etc. can be provided with prior notice, at an additional cost to prevent guests have to carry their own.

Beach & Sea
• The island is surrounded by a coral reef and the water is shallow upon entry
• At any time of year at least one side of the island will be sheltered and the waters calm for swimming
• It should be noted that there are no poisonous insects/snakes on the island and is therefore regarded as very suitable for children.
Swimming pool
• The main swimming pool is shallow in parts
• Villa pools will need supervision from adults at all times due to depth
Lifeguard
• No lifeguards on duty
Medical
• The island has a qualified first aid/nurse present on the island qualified to deal with minor incidents.
Hotel Transport
• The island use golf carts to transport guests from the airstrip – seat belts/child seats are not necessary with adult supervision
• Bicycles for the guests use include small bicycles for children as young as 3 / 4 years are available with stabilizers.

For families who want to spend quality time together whilst on holiday there are an abundance of ocean based sports, picnic trips and cycling tours for the whole family to enjoy.
