OverviewFregate Island is a private getaway encircled by turquoise seas and pearl-like beaches. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful and enchanting islands in the Seychelles and prides itself on the highest levels of service and accommodation. The island rises 125 metres out of the Indian Ocean and Mont Signal offers spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding islands. Guest RoomsThe rooms on this luxury island come with luxury amenities such as air conditioning, ceiling fan, lounge, veranda, telephone, CD and DVD player, outside Jacuzzi and two outside showers. Rooms combine colonial style furniture and state of the art technology. As there are only sixteen villas on the island the number of guests is limited to forty at anyone time thus meaning ultimate privacy as there are no day visits allowed to the island. Villas are built in natural materials such as native mahogany and African teak with thatched roofs to ensure that they fit within the tranquil nature of the island. Sixteen of the villas offer stunning panoramic views of the emerald ocean and the other two are nestled within their own private gardens.
FacilitiesThe main restaurant is the Fregate House Restaurant which offers both American and continental breakfasts and outstanding gourmet international evening dinners. The Seychelles Plantation House serves guests with authentic Creole cuisine every lunchtime and three times a week for evening meals. Alternatively guest can enjoy meals from the privacy of their villa. The open-air Pirate’s Bar is on hand to serve lunch and snacks throughout the day. They also have an extensive wine and tropical cocktail list for guests to indulge in. All food produced by chefs is made with the finest quality and uses only natural and organic ingredients that are grown locally. The main building is decorated in a traditional Indonesian styles and houses the restaurants, bar, gymnasium and library. Golfers are welcome to visit the championship course on Praslin Island. Fregate Island offers a host of activities on, in and under the water. There are two freshwater pools and Anse Victorin is one of the most beautifully renowned beaches in the world. The Rock Spa is a place of serenity which perches on the cliff top and offers wonderful sea views. The finest holistic treatments from all over the world are used with ancient techniques and treatments prepared from local ingredients. The resort is home to a PADI Dive Centre where guests are able to take courses by certified divers. There are many diving loacations available, such as Chimney Rocks which is suitable for both beginners and qualified divers. Although Fregate Island is nicely secluded, guests are never short for anything to do. You can bike your way along trails that cross the island, climb Mount Signal, enjoy cocktails on a sunset cruise or simply stay at your villa and have a massage on your deck, to name but a few.
