Overview

La Digue Island Lodge cannot fail to charm with barefoot elegance in beautiful surroundings. The Lodge sits in a garden of sweeping coconut palms and boarders the pretty Anse Reunion beach. The island of La Digue is enclosed by reams of exotic coral reefs that protect the coastline, while pink granite rocks decorates the dramatic coastline. The resort lays half an hour by boat from Praslin Island.

Facilities

There is a couple of restaurants at the resort including a simple thatched roof restaurant on the beach where guests can experience local specialities and international cuisine whilst enjoying a view of Praslin Island. The hotel also offers a number of entertainment evenings such as a Creole barbeque which is joined by local bands, singing and dancing. The swimming pool has a swim up bar for guests to relax and enjoy cocktails whilst sinking their toes into the relaxing water. The only dive shop on the island is located at the resort and diving instructors are on hand to show you the best sites. This is suitable for both beginner and the more experienced and a resort course is offered for absolute beginners. There is an extensive array of facilities on offer at the hotel which includes snorkelling, fishing and island hopping excursions.

Guest Rooms

As the main hotel the island, The Lodge is able to provide a wide choice of accommodation ranging from the Plantation House Suites to beach front chalets. The hotel is completely built with local woods to match with the natural beauty that the Seychelles has to offer. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom, airconditioning, mini bar, telephone, television, coffee maker and hair dryer. The balconies at the Plantation House Suite boast panoramic views overlooking both the sea and Praslin island. These large and spacious rooms come with excellent attached bathroom facilities. The Chalets roofs are made from palm leaves and offer spacious accommodation split on two levels and only a few steps away from beach. The Petit Village is set in a quiet corner in the gardens. These terrace style garden rooms are made from Takamaka hardwood. They offer guests maximum privacy with their own veranda. The beach chalets are similar in style but overlook the beach. The Yellow House is actually classed as a National Monument of the Seychelles as it was a traditional planters house dating back to the early 1900’s. It has been carefully renovated into eight rooms with a spiral staircase leading down to a luxurious bathroom which stylishly contrasts with the exterior.
