Bordering Swaziland and Mozambique, Mpumalanga occupies a huge land mass, and is bordered by neighbouring Limpopo. Consisting mainly of high altitude grassland, forests, river canyons and majestic mountains, these two districts represent something of an explorer’s paradise. Take a walk up to God’s Window, a spectacular 100m drop on the edge of an escarpment giving views over Kruger National Park into Mozambique. Wear practical and comfortable shoes when coming both here and to Limpopo. From Limpopo you’ll have access to some of South Africa’s most alluring valleys, close to the Drakensberg Mountains.
