Kilimanjaro National Park

Stone Town

Known as Mji Mkongwe, Stone Town is the oldest section of Zanzibar City. The architecture dates back to the 19th century and has European and Middle Eastern influences, among others, reflecting the change in rule this island has undergone over the years. Visit the House of Wonders and the Palace Museum, which is home to exhibitions dedicated to Swahili culture.
