Tenerife
Amusement parks in Costa Adeje
Costa Adeje is the ideal destination for a family holiday, home to excellent stretches of beach, all-inclusive luxury hotels and several amusement parks. At Siam Park you can enjoy an assortment of attractions that are fun for the whole family, from the Mai Thai lazy river to the pulse-pounding Tower of Power water slide.
Tenerife
Teide National Park
Journey inland from the coastal resorts for an out-of-this-world experience at Teide National Park. You don’t have to hike to the top of Mount Teide (the highest peak in Spain) to appreciate the staggering natural beauty of this place. Ride up the mountain in the cable car, hike through the foothills, and snap photos of the unbelievable volcanic landscapes.
Tenerife
Museum of Nature and Man
Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s best attraction is the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre. Housed in an 18th-century building, this museum tells the story of the Canary Islands, and is home to a vast collection of archaeological, paleontological, and botanical artefacts. The most popular items are the mummies of the Guanche people, who were once indigenous to the islands.
Tenerife
Barranco del Infierno
At the eastern edges of Adeje, you’ll find Barranco del Infierno, an ancient ravine home to caves where the indigenous Guanche people once lived. Take the hiking trail through the ravine and finish up at the highest waterfall on the island. As only a limited number of people can enter each day, booking in advance is vital.

Water sports in El Medáno
El Medáno is a town on Tenerife’s southern coast famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The long stretch of sandy beach and year-round winds make this the ideal spot to try your hand at water sports. If you’re seeking a slower-paced activity, book a snorkelling trip or dolphin-spotting boat tour.
