The Arktikum is a museum and science centre in Rovaniemi and it also features a café and library. They offer northern nature, culture and history and the exhibition facilities are entirely underground. There is also a beach and gardens and the park consists of 7 acres of land on the banks of the River Ounas which is partly on a small island.

The Snowcastle of Kemi
The Kemi Snow Castle is a landmark which is created every year since 1996. Seawater is the main ingredient used for the towers, walls and snow and ice sculptures. There is an ice restaurant, guided tours, a day spa, Northern Lights tours and lots of family-based activities and the SnowExperinece365 is there all year round.
