Chi Lin Nunnery
The Chi Lin Nunnery is a large Buddhist complex with a serene environment of lotus ponds and bonsai tea plants. The centrepiece is the exceptional temple made completely out of wood without a single nail. It's a marvel of architecture built in the traditional Tang Dynasty style. Without a doubt, one of the must-see attractions of Hong Kong.

Star Ferry
Connecting Kowloon to Hong Kong Island, the Star Ferry is much more than an efficient way to travel between the two. It's also one of the most scenic boat rides you'll get to enjoy in the city. Float across the waters and admire the stunning views of both skylines. Better yet, go at night and capture the vibrant city lights.

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery
The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery is a true spectacle. This buddhist complex features lots of temples, pavilions and an ornate, multi-tiered pagoda. To reach the monastery you have to climb a hill with 430 steps. Along the way, thousands of life-sized golden Buddha statues rise with every step you take, and each statue is different, which creates a fascinating climb.

Victoria Peak
The highest point on Hong Kong Island, Victoria Peak provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city's uber modern and very famous skyline. To reach Victoria Peak, take the Peak Tram up the hillside, a thrilling ride which climbs almost vertically at times, or head up through Hong Kong's Botanic Gardens on the Old Peak Road Trail.
