Here, you’ll find the best hotels and beaches.

Within close distance to Krabi are some fantastic attractions including Railay Beach, Ao Nang, and Noppharat Thara. Framed by jutting limestone karsts and only accessible by boat, Railay Beach is treasured for its stunning natural beauty, rock climbing opportunities and excellent hotels. Ao Nang is a hotspot for scuba diving and nightlife while Noppharat Thara is cherished for its tranquil atmosphere and magnificent sunsets.

Krabi Province is also home to numerous islands like stunning Koh Phi Phi or Koh Hong. Taking a passenger ferry from Krabi Town allows you to quickly access many of these islands. Smaller islands such as Koh Poda can be reached from your resorts on long-tail boats or speedboats and are ideal for romantic and relaxing day trips.

When To Visit

The weather in Krabi remains relatively consistent year-round, with temperatures ranging from the mid-twenties to the early thirties Celsius. The driest and coldest month is January, although temperatures rarely dip below 22 degrees Celsius, while the warmest temperatures usually occur in April towards the end of the dry season.

Typically, more rain falls from May onwards, with average rainfall peaking in September and October. Outside of the wettest months, rainfall is usually brief and quickly replaced by sunshine.

Food & Drink

Many of Krabi’s five-star beach resorts are in secluded areas, which means they come equipped with a variety of dining options. Venture into the local towns and you can experience authentic local specialities such as internationally renowned pad thai or delicious moo ping and khao niao.

Passport & Visas

British nationals don’t usually need a visa to enter Thailand. However, you should still check before you book. You can learn about the entry requirements for Thailand at GOV.UK. While travelling, it’s advised you carry identification and keep photocopies of official documents.
