Luxury New Zealand Holidays

Overview

Welcome to a land of breathtaking nature and laid-back culture. Whether you’re looking to explore the great outdoors or charming cities like Wellington or Auckland, New Zealand has it all. With sweeping vistas and remote lodges, it’s the perfect place for a wedding or romantic escape. Make memories that'll last a lifetime with a luxury New Zealand holiday.

Auckland, as New Zealand’s largest city, is a natural starting place. Visit Sky Tower, where you can admire views of Auckland’s harbours, or walk amongst the boats of Viaduct Harbour. While Auckland has plenty to offer, most people don’t stay long before heading into the surrounding nature of North Island. North Island is often overshadowed by South Island, but a journey here offers the unique opportunity to experience Maori culture.

In cultural hotspots like Northland or Rotorua, you can meet Maori locals, hear their language, see traditional meeting houses and maybe even join in a hāngi or Māori feast. Make sure to attend Maori performances where you can see powerful haka or war dances – a dance similar to the one used by the nation’s rugby team the All Blacks. After your cultural exploration, head south to the iconic South Island.

South Island is home to crystal clear lakes, glacial fjords, remote beaches and countless islands, making it one of the greatest outdoor destinations in the world. Connect with nature on one of South Island’s six Great Walks, by canoeing the tranquil coves of lakes in Abel Tasman National Park, or discover knee-deep powder on the ski slopes of Coronet Peak. You may even come face-to-face with whales, penguins or the iconic kiwi bird!

During winter, South Island temperatures can drop to -10 degrees Celsius and snow is common, perfect for hitting the slopes at New Zealand's internationally renowned ski mountains. Summer sees more sunshine and fairer weather, ideal for hiking or swimming in the ocean.
