Overview

Ho Chi Minh City is where old Saigon meets modern Vietnam. Sleek skyscrapers rise above ancient temples and traditional cobbled pathways, whilst fast-paced motos and ringing bicycles set the scene on the ground. This is a dynamic city, with a moving history, and an exciting future, and going on a luxury holiday in Ho Chi Minh City will change you.

With a vibrant energy pulsing through the heart of this destination, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) is the place to experience the animated side of Vietnam. Throw yourself into life here by visiting the Ben Thanh Market, and have fun haggling over beautiful local crafts. Afterwards, head to the upscale neighbourhood of Dong Khoi, where you'll find world-class restaurants, a renowned nightlife, and lots of exclusive boutiques and designer stores.

Learn about the fascinating yet harrowing history of Vietnam told through the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, and then visit the incredible Củ Chi tunnels, where you can see just how the war was fought. See the French heritage architecture of the city, like the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Saigon Opera House, where you can also watch a breathtaking performance by catching a show.

Vietnam has also developed a global reputation for its coffee, and in Ho Chi Minh City you'll find coffee shops in every direction. Try a cup in Phu My Hung, also home to lots of vaunted restaurants with outdoor seating where you can enjoy views of the lake it sits along, and the Starlight Bridge. Or unwind instead in one of the many rooftop bars overlooking the city's skyline, and the reflecting waters of the Saigon River.
