Singapore is an island country comprised of one main island and lots of smaller islets. It's a multicultural place with colourful districts celebrating its cultural diversity. In Chinatown, wander avenues with distinct Chinese architecture and tiered pagodas where markets offer handmade goods and Michelin-starred street food.

Head to Little India for an entirely different atmosphere with brightly painted buildings, and ornate shrines like the lavish Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. Wander Orchard Road and be dwarfed by towering skyscrapers and glittering shopping malls. It's one of the most famous streets in Asia renowned for high-end boutiques and endless designer stores.

Then take a trip to the Civic District and explore historic colonial buildings. You'll find the National Museum of Singapore and the Asian Civilisation Museum, as well as breathtaking views of the futuristic skyline from the esplanade and Fort Canning Hill. At Marina Bay, discover modern architectural masterpieces like the iconic Marina Bay Sands, one of the largest luxury hotels in Singapore with one of the world's highest rooftop infinity pools. Enjoy exclusive shopping malls, museums and massive garden parks.

Take a short trip to Sentosa Island by boardwalk, cable car or monorail and walk a paradise of golden beaches. It's an island playground with lots of attractions to visit too, from renowned golf courses, to waterparks and adventure parks with ziplines.

When To Visit

The weather in Singapore hovers around 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year making it a wonderful place to visit at any time. The island experiences two monsoon seasons from May to September and November to March.

Whilst these seasons are known as rainy periods, rainfall is typically refreshing, spectacular and short-lived. It reduces the humidity and leaves bright skies. Usually, downpours only last an hour or two as well. If you're lucky, you may get to catch an epic thunderstorm, which tend to disperse within half an hour.

Food & Drink

Luxury Singapore holidays offer an eye-opening range of cuisines prepared to perfection by experienced chefs. Sample French specialities, Italian pastas, Mediterranean dishes, and authentic recipes from all across Asia. Pair your food with fine wines from an extensive wine list.

You'll get to try unique dining experiences too, like open kitchens that display the skills of the chefs and the theatre of the kitchen. Enjoy romantic private dining and your very own personal chef who creates dishes to your particular tastes. Unwind with champagne, cocktails and premium spirits.

Passport & Visas

As with any holiday, it's a good idea to carry some identification with you, and keep a photocopy of your passport on your person. You don't need a visa to enter Singapore for stays of up to 90 days. Visit GOV.UK for more advice on passports, visas and travel.
