Situated amongst mangroves, coral reefs and the sandy Malohom Bay, Gaya Island Resort is on an island within the protected Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The resort is committed to ecologically-sustainable practices to minimise carbon footprint within the environment. The Marine Centre works at turtle rescue, coral reef restoration and conservation through education. Villa’s include oversized bathtubs, and verandahs with day beds overlooking the ocean. There are 5 restaurant/bars and private dining experiences are available. The spa offers a range of rejuvenation programmes and activities available include diving, snorkelling, Yoga, nature walks and local craft lessons.

Located by the pool and offering an interactive dining experience with a selection of local and international cuisine. Open breakfast 07.00 – 10.30, lunch 12.00 – 15.00 and dinner 19.00 to 22.30

Fisherman’s Cove

Situated on the rooftop with views of Mount Kinabalu and offering fresh seafood themed dishes. 12 years and over only. Smart casual dress code (shirt and full-length trousers and shoes for men, smart casual wear for women). Open 19.00 – 22.30

Pool Bar & Lounge

A contemporary, casual setting overlooking the infinity pool making it a perfect place to enjoy light lunches or cocktails. Open 10.00 – 23.00

Omakase

Surrounded by rainforest Omakase offers three dining experiences teppanyaki, shabu-shabu and nabe. Open 19.00 – 22.30

Tavajun Bay
A 5-minute boat ride from the resort is this private beach is perfect for relaxing. Lunch is a single dish mad over charcoal embers that changes daily. Open 12.00 – 17.00

Location

Located on Pulau Gaya which is the largest of a cluster of five islands that form the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, a nature marine conservation area off the coast of Borneo. The shuttle from Kota Kinabalu airport is approximately 15 minutes to the jetty and the speedboat transfer from Jesselton Point to Gaya island is another 15
minutes.
