'Long Established Lodge with Charm and Character'

The unfenced Keekorok Lodge sits in the direct path of the wildebeest migration route in the heart of the Masai Mara. As such, during the height of migration, the lodge is surrounded by a mass of animals meaning there is hardly any need to go on a game drive. A 300 metre raised walkway winds through the forest in front of the lodge to a thatched sun downer bar where guests gaze out over the plainsat the resident hippos whilst enjoying a drink. Accommodation is based on full board including morning tea or coffee, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

‘Consider this charming lodge at any time of year to see a reserve that is habitually teeming with wildlife and their attendant predators; this is particularly accentuated during the months from July to October when the migration of wildebeest and zebra reaches its northern summit’

The Discovery Bar
A reflection of Keekorok's vast history, the bar features a photo gallery of its illustrious clientele. Serving a fine collection of whiskies and cigars along with exquisite freshly ground Kenyan coffee.
The Swimming Bar
The swimming pool and bar serve drinks and refreshments throughout the day.
The Hippo Pool Bar
Connected to the lodge by a 1km long wooden walkway which meanders through the Keekorok forest. The bar overlooks a permanent watering hole that is home to over 20 hippos and is visited regularly by elephants and lions.
The Restaurant
Overlooking the well-manicured lawns on one side and a spectacular internal rock garden on the other, serving a variety of traditional African, Asian and Western food. In keeping with Keekorok's atmosphere, guests have the option to dine al fresco on the veranda, on the Elephant Deck overlooking the rolling savannah or in the wilderness in privacy.

Location

Keekorok Lodge is situated at the southern end of the Masai Mara Reserve and make a perfect base for watching wildlife all year round however the Migration time is particularly spectacular.
