Sabi Sabi Selati Camp

Deluxe

'Secluded, Charming, Luxurious'

Sabi Sabi Selati Camp is an award-winning luxury game camp. It is situated close to the old Selati Railway line, a line used for transporting gold and which crossed the Sabi Sand Reserve. Although the camp has the usual mod cons of electricity and air con, evenings are often spent with gas lamps lit or open fires in the boma to create an atmosphere. The luxurious suites at the camp are decorated with a railway / colonial feel to them as well as featuring modern amenities such as luxurious bathrooms and air conditioning. Guests can enjoy world-class meals seated al fresco in the boma or at the farmhouse as they swap stories on that days game sightings in the African bush. Sabi Sabi Selati Camp is definitely a place where memories are made.

Sabi Sabi is home to over 200 mammal and 300 bird species, including the Big 5 and animals such as cheetahs and wild dogs. Here at Sabi Sabi guests can see a multitude of animals, plants and insects in their natural habitat plus a few which are rare and endangered.

Safari game drives are run twice daily, in early morning and late afternoon/evening – the best times to see the animals. All safaris are conducted in open Land Rovers with highly skilled and trained field guides. Safaris last around three hours.

As well as game drives, Sabi Sabi Selati Camp also offers mid-morning safari walks where guests spend around two hours in the African bush with an armed ranger, getting up close and personal with the flora and fauna.

Location

Sabi Sabi Selati Camp is situated in the north-eastern section of the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve which in turn is situated within one of the oldest, largest and most diverse private reserves in Africa – the Sabi Sand Wildtuin.
