The Thonga Beach Lodge is set on the shores of Maputaland Coast, KwaZulu-Natal which forms parts of the 332 000 hectare iSamangaliso Wetland Park. This was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. There are a variety of activities to enjoy including excursions, kayaking and turtle tracking.
Guest accommodation at the Thonga Beach Lodge comprises of spacious, thatched suites that are hidden in the coastal dune forest and raised on wooden stilts. Inspired by authentic Thonga architecture, the rooms have been carefully positioned to guarantee guests complete privacy and most rooms offer extensive views of the ocean and the surrounding bush from private balconies. The rooms are luxuriously decorated and exude a wonderfully romantic ambiance. Bleached wood, glass and natural materials have been thoughtfully used to create an open airy feel to the accommodations. The en suite rooms also boast a bathroom with bath, shower and a twin vanity.
