The safety of our guests and staff alike is of paramount importance to us here at Jamala Madikwe.

We have implemented our sanitisation strategy for increased safety for the property as follows:

• Masks

Current regulations require all person to wear masks

• Hygiene training for the protection of staff and guests:

All staff have been trained in the relevant and regulated hygiene and sanitation protocols and PPE equipment.

Ongoing training and monitoring to ensure staff and guest safety are the top priority.

• Guest and staff screening:

All guests to undergo screening which may include discrete temperature checking on arrival as well as

sanitisation protocols explained for their comfort for the duration of their stay.

All staff to undergo screening, temperature monitoring and record keeping.

• Check in and departures:

It will be our policy to have a contactless check in and departures where possible and with appropriate

record keeping of clients contact pre and post their visit with us.

Tap credit card facilities are available for enabled cards. Sanitising of devices before and after each use.

Pre-arrival completion of indemnity and Covid questionnaire will be required from guests and operators.

• House Keeping:

To alleviate the risk of transmission, continuous and stringent deep cleaning pre and post room use as well as during the use of the villa.

Staff to have all adequate training in safety procedures for safe cleaning, disposal of used material for sanitising.

For both protection of the guests and staff our procedures will be discussed with guests on arrival.

• Surface and High Traffic areas:

Deep cleaning pre and post of all villas and high traffic communal main lodge areas and touch points with

accredited, eco-friendly and health regulation recommended disinfectants and cleaning processes.

Surface area disinfection with increased frequency to be performed throughout the day.

This will include game drive vehicles pre and post drives, all outside deck, fire pit and watch tower and

boma areas.

Laundry and housekeeping to be performed with suitable accredited hospital grade and eco-friendly products.

• Easily accessible hand sanitisation stations:

70% Alcohol hand sanitisers are conveniently placed around the property for guests and staff to make use

of at all times. Game drive vehicles to carry with while out on drive.

• Dining:

We have always seated guests separately for breakfast and dinners. Appropriate distancing between tables

as well as staff taking orders for fine plated dining. High Tea will be adapted to a individual portion option.

Kitchen food preparation protocols as per regulated safety standards.

• Social distancing:

To alleviate the risk of transmission, continuous and stringent social distancing etiquette will be implemented between guest and staff.
