The Knickerbocker opened in 1906, firmly making its mark on the history of New York. The famous Martini cocktail was first created there, the hotel was used as a front company by a US spy in the Second World War, and in 1980 is was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The interior of this historic building has been transformed into a sanctuary of contemporary style and luxury. A stylish lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating with three corner sky pods boasting fantastic views of the city. A selection of vibrant cocktails and craft beers are on offer alongside a small plates menu. Open Tues-Wed 16:00-0:00, Thurs-Fri 16:00-01:00 (until midnight on Saturday), closed Sunday and Monday.
By day Jake’s @ The Knick is an artisanal café offerings gourmet coffee and fresh treats including croissants, and pastries. Open for breakfast 07:00-11:00 and lunch 11:00-16:00.
