‘Volcanic Crater Lodge’
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the biggest volcanic crater on earth. The lodge was built using local river stone and is camouflaged on the hill with vines surrounding it making it invisible from the volcano which is 600 metres below it. The crater is also home to a wealth of wildlife where over 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, forests and lakes including lion, elephant and rhino. Each room is decorated with cave paintings and are dotted along the rim and all have a rock enclosed balcony with views of the volcanic amphitheatre below.
In Our Opinion‘We adore the unique location of the lodge on the edge of the biggest volcano in the world as it looks visually stunning from all angles!’
Each room has twin beds and a rock based balcony with views of the Crater below.
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is right next to Serengeti National Park and is 180 kilometres from Arusha Airport.
