Mandarin Oriental Prague

‘Contemporary yet Characterful’

Tucked away in Prague’s picturesque Mala Strana district on the left bank of the Vltava River, Mandarin Oriental Prague sits in a desirable location only walking distance away from Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Prague National Theatre and the Old Town Square. Housed within a carefully restored monastery dating back to the 14th century, the hotel blends local charm with contemporary sophistication and subtle Asian touches. Guest rooms welcome you in with their plush furnishings and individual design; showcasing antique floors, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings and revealing views across the Mala Strana streets, peaceful monastery garden or dramatic Prague Castle. Essensia restaurant treats your taste buds to a unique blend of modern Czech and Asian cuisine and Barego bar provides a stylish spot for relaxing drinks. On the theme of relaxation, the hotel’s spa is sure to help you recharge after a busy day of exploring Prague. Situated within a former chapel, the spa is spread across two floors and exudes a gentle, soothing atmosphere.

In Our Opinion

‘Both a luxury hotel and well-preserved piece of history, Mandarin Oriental Prague offers a premier retreat in the city within close proximity to main attractions.’

Essensia
Intimate rooms sit beneath imposing vaulted ceilings and take on a chic, minimalist feel with their lightly coloured floors and cream walls. Asian classics such as Pad Thai, Vietnamese Pho soup and Japanese sashimi are served alongside delectable local dishes and prepared using authentic cooking techniques. A private dining room to seat 23 guests is also adjoined onto Essensia and features access to an outdoor terrace which is open during the summer months.
Barego
Situated on the ground floor, this bar is furnished with contemporary décor and includes red high-backed chairs and a black marble cocktail bar as well as blue lights rising up from the bar and coming down from the ceiling. Cocktails, wines and beers are accompanied by soft drinks and a selection of freshly-brewed coffees.
