‘Oasis of Peace and Calm’

The name Amanemu is derived from aman, the Sanskrit word for peace, and nemu, the Japanese word for joy. The hills above Ago Bay are the serene setting of Amanemu, situated close to the holy site of Ise Grand Shrine and the UNESCO World Heritage Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trails. The suites and villas are nestled within the landscape with scenic views out to the bay or gardens. All of them offer a contemporary take on Japanese minka homes with private onsen baths and gardens. Aman Spa embraces the bathing tradition of onsen even further, with private pavilions and suites set around a large mineral-rich onsen. The restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine alongside a variety of fresh seafood.
