‘Arctic Adventure in an Igloo or Hotel’
The Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos is located in Sinetta, Finland and is split into two areas, the cluster of igloos and the SnowHotel which houses the rooms, suites and restaurants. Ice and snow is a key feature of what makes this hotel so charming. It’s everywhere, cultivated by a temperature level that stays steady between 0 and -5 degrees Celsius. This is no more the case than in the Ice Restaurant and Ice Bar, the latter of which features frozen glasses and tables. Rooms and suites in the SnowHotel are cosy and equipped with a fleece layered sleeping bag. Bathroom facilities are located amongst the main hotel facilities. The glass igloos are incredibly warm, as proven by the heated floor and windows which continually melt away snow. These igloos are facilitated with an aurora alarm, which beeps when there is a sighting of the northern lights during the night. Guests can also book a package which takes the best of both worlds and allows you to stay overnight in a glass igloo and the SnowHotel.

‘The landscape of Sinetta is captivatingly beautiful, so it would seem a shame to waste such an opportunity to experience the real outdoors. Here you can go ice fishing, snow sculpting and traverse the ground on snow mobiles.’

Snow SaunaMade from snow and ice, the Snow Sauna keeps the temperature high, despite the snowy walls. The hotel area also has traditional Finnish saunas for families and groups. These are available for hire and can also be reserved. There are also joint sauna shifts for men and women between 21:00 and 23:00.
If you’re feeling a little brave, you could also try the outdoor Jacuzzi. Enjoy the fresh air and the warmth of the bubbles while perhaps admiring the glowing colours of the Northern Lights.

The Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos is located in Sinetta and is around half an hour away from Rovaniemi Airport. There is local transport system from the airport to the hotel. The inexpensive method is to use the shuttle, which you must book on at least 24 hours before departure time.
