‘Arctic Adventure in an Igloo or Hotel’
The Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos is located in Sinetta, Finland and is split into two areas, the cluster of igloos and the SnowHotel which houses the rooms, suites and restaurants. Ice and snow is a key feature of what makes this hotel so charming. It’s everywhere, cultivated by a temperature level that stays steady between 0 and -5 degrees Celsius. This is no more the case than in the Ice Restaurant and Ice Bar, the latter of which features frozen glasses and tables. Rooms and suites in the SnowHotel are cosy and equipped with a fleece layered sleeping bag. Bathroom facilities are located amongst the main hotel facilities. The glass igloos are incredibly warm, as proven by the heated floor and windows which continually melt away snow. These igloos are facilitated with an aurora alarm, which beeps when there is a sighting of the northern lights during the night. Guests can also book a package which takes the best of both worlds and allows you to stay overnight in a glass igloo and the SnowHotel.
In Our Opinion‘The landscape of Sinetta is captivatingly beautiful, so it would seem a shame to waste such an opportunity to experience the real outdoors. Here you can go ice fishing, snow sculpting and traverse the ground on snow mobiles.’
Guests need not worry about the cold, as rooms are equipped with a warm sleeping bag that is layered with a fleece interior. Guests can also arrange for a wake-up service with a hot drink.
Better suited to a family, these glass igloos are spacious and outfitted with adjustable twin beds. Guests can enjoy clear views of the sky and heated interiors, from the floor to the windows. Set the ‘aurora alarm’ and be woken when the Aurora Botealis appears in the night sky.
Better suited to groups of guests who need the extra bed space, the Family Room is home to 4 beds and warm sleeping bags.
Larger and featuring a bright piece of star-inspired decoration, the Suite is ideal for guests who need that extra bit of space.
Glass Igloos give you the opportunity to sleep beneath the starry skies and the breath-taking northern lights. These igloos are renowned for their well heated interiors, even at the coldest times of winter, which includes underfloor heating and adjustable beds. Guests can also set the ‘aurora alarm,’ which will make a beeping sound in case the Aurora Borealis does appear in the night sky.
If you’re feeling a little brave, you could also try the outdoor Jacuzzi. Enjoy the fresh air and the warmth of the bubbles while perhaps admiring the glowing colours of the Northern Lights.
