Of course, each room boasts unrivalled views of the Indian Ocean and the tropical gardens that encompass the house, as well as intricate, bright designs courtesy of architect Geoffrey Bawa. Indulge in a day of relaxing massage treatments and reading a book from the library by the outdoor pool, or hire the private boat for fishing and snorkelling trips, before trying the delicious Sri Lankan curries that the beach hotel is becoming famous for!

Atteriya

The house is designed with a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture, making each room truly unique, and the Atteriya Room is no exception. This intimate room with a king-size bed as centre piece enjoys access to the surrounding tropical gardens, as well as spectacular sea views.

Cinnamon Hill Suite (Two Bedroom)

As a whole, this spacious suite is situated on the upper floor of the house, giving uninterrupted views of the sea and tropical gardens surrounding the Mawella beach front. When interconnected with a third twin room, the three bedrooms and separate living area can comfortably accommodate large groups or families, and the balcony area overlooking the beach is ideal for private dining.

Moonamal

Na

The Na Room boasts iconic work from architect Geoffrey Bawa, with extensive windows looking inland towards the emerald lagoon and lush gardens, whilst a smaller window frames the beach and sea. Separate from the main house and towards the rear of the property, this double bedroom is tranquil and relaxing, with access to the rear gardens.

Whole House

The Last House can be booked as a whole property, ideal for a family retreat to the seaside, or larger groups looking for a private, relaxing beachfront house.
