Like the resort but just wish there was an option for adults-only? No kids. No disturbances. Just you, your partner and the relaxing sound of the ocean. That’s a reality at Beachcomber Victoria in Mauritius, with its new adults-only section.
You will stay in either an Ocean View Room or a Swim-Up Room. Both are a spacious 50sqm and exclusive to adults only. The former is a peaceful retreat with stylish and contemporary décor, opening out to a lovely outdoor terrace with views. As the name suggests, the latter offers direct access to a vast open-air swimming pool – perfect for those lazy mornings.
Continuing the exclusive trend is the Morris Beef restaurant. Visit in the morning for a la carte delights as the island wakes up. Return in the evening for perfectly cooked steaks in a quiet and laid back atmosphere – the sunset views make this a meal to remember. If staying in the Swim-Up Room, you can swim directly to Nautil Café for a light bite – another area of the adults-only. Plus, there’s always the option of three other restaurants.
While the idyllic tropical aura is an ever-present, adventure is only around the corner. Sheltered from the winds and rich with coral, the lagoon is ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling. Further out in the ocean you can try your hand at windsurfing and water skiing, or glide lazily along on a stand-up paddle. Back on land there’s tennis and mountain biking, although the lure of the spa may prove too much for some. Treatments use 100% natural products to leave your skin refreshed and your mind at ease.
