Our specialist travel experts have debated and deliberated in detail each hotel's character and personality, location, amenities and rooms to ensure you have a guide to helping you decide which Jumeirah hotel is perfect for you.

An Introduction to Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah is located on a mile long stretch of pristine coastline marked by the iconic structures of the neighbouring Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, while Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is located on The Palm Jumeirah. Within the collection of hotels, each is individual in their personality, each luxurious in their own distinctive way and each perfect in service, accommodation and attention to detail.

The Jumeirah Hotels have a range of dining options between them and the excellent Jumeirah Flavours option means guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to tantalising their taste buds. Having stayed ourselves we can guarantee the breakfasts will delight, afternoon tea is a quintessential classic, and dining can be casual or fine, depending on how you feel.

Adjacent to Madinat Jumeirah lies the adrenaline pumping slides of Wild Wadi Water Park. All Jumeirah guests receive complimentary, unlimited access to fun-filled water park days for the duration of their stay.

From Jumeirah Beach to the north through to Madinat Jumeirah Al Qasr in the south, a buggy service is available, which means roaming the length and breadth is easy and fun. In the evening, when the heat of the day has dissipated the walk past the pools, turtle hatchery, beach bars and restaurants is romantic and special. From Jumeirah Zabeel Saray the journey to Madinat Jumeirah and Wild Wadi Water Park is approximately 20 minutes.

Dubai is famous for its opulence, luxury and service and Jumeirah are experts in all three, so which one of their outstanding hotels should you choose?

Dubai is infamous for its opulence, luxury and service and Jumeirah are experts in all three, so which one of their outstanding hotels should you choose?

Families

Destinology’s pick for families is Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Jumeirah Beach says ‘Everything a family needs’ and we have to agree. From the moment you arrive kids will be enthralled; the entrance lobby stretches the full height of the building and is adorned with lights that open and close like flowers. Walking through the lobby lounge the vista opens before you and is filled with the iconic Burj Al Arab sail, the sandy beach, and the ocean.

The Hotel is modern and family rooms are designed for comfort. The Ocean Family Deluxe overlooking the Arabian Gulf features one king-size bed and two fold-out beds perfect for a small family (2 adults & 2 children). If you are looking for something more spacious, there are one, two and three-bedroom suites and the Family Garden Suites, located on the ground floor. These suites have a living room which opens onto a terrace, and provides direct access to the gardens.

The Kids’ Club at Jumeirah Beach has an endless list of activities, involving splashing, painting, sports, games and crafts. The Kids’ Club sits adjacent to the family pool, which has cascading waterfalls and a gently sloping entrance, making it perfect for paddling. Around the resort, there are 5 other pools as well as the beach. Also on site are sports facilities including tennis and there is a climbing wall.

Families with Teenagers

Destinology’s pick for teens is Madinat Jumeirah Mina A’ Salam. We have teens in the wider Destinology family, so we know they like to be a little independent, which is why any of the hotels at Madinat Jumierah would be a good choice. We have plumped for Mina Al Salam for three reasons.

Firstly, at the beach and the Watersports centre, you’ll find activities such as Football Billiards, and sandcastle arts with a sand artist.

Secondly, the Souk is the perfect place for a little shopping in a safe, secure environment, and is a social hub for coffee, food, or hanging out. Hanaaya is the perfect place for a teenage Friday brunch, Dubai style. In our opinion you are never too cool to catch the Abras that connect the Madinat either which means space for a little exploration away from Mum and Dad, but still in resort.

Finally, Mina A Salam has connecting rooms that are ideal for families. Ocean Deluxe Rooms are connected to form the perfect Two Bedroom Deluxe Family Room which has been designed to provide families with privacy and security. One private doorway leads into a lobby and the doors to both bedrooms, each with their own private balcony and en-suite bathroom.

Couples looking for Romance

Destinology’s pick for couples is Madinat Jumeirah Al Qasr. Its majestic, palatial luxury is inspired by 1,001 Arabian Nights, and it doesn’t get much more romantic than that. It’s hard to pinpoint what makes this our couple’s choice but the glamour and elegance of the lobby sets the scene for whispered conversations and moments of togetherness.

Set within the waterways and tropical gardens, couples will find Talise Spa, a place to indulge and relax together. Over the water sits Pierchic, a romantic seafood dining destination that looks out to the gulf, and the Burj Al Arab.

For couples, we recommend a Club Room or Suite and access to the Club Lounge which serves the quintessential afternoon tea and is adult-only at certain times during the day.

Cool and Young or Cool and Young at Heart!

Destinology’s pick for the cool collective is the contemporary Madinat Jumeirah Al Naseem.

The lobby is modern and sleek, populated with artwork that wows. The bars and restaurants are eclectic and include Summersalt, a unique beach club experience with expert mixologists and a Friday brunch you’ll love. Destinology also like to hang out in the evening at Sugarmash, a Polynesian inspired bar located next to the adults’ only pool.

The rooms are close to the beach and a short stroll puts you squarely in front of the Burj Al Arab which is perfect for Dubai selfies. Rooms are spacious and look over the ocean or gardens. What we totally love though is the incredible bathrooms with walk-in shower, his and hers vanity, and freestanding bath. If you fancy something a little more special, go for an Ocean Terrace Suite, which comes with a king-size bed, open plan sitting area, and a terrace overlooking the beach.

Multi-Generation

Our pick for a multi-generation holiday is Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, and more specifically, the Malikaya Villas. We are seeing a trend towards families travelling together, with grandparents, parents, and children making and sharing memories together. At Madinat you could stay in different rooms, or different hotels but the Malikaya Villas are perfect for staying together with all the benefits Madinat Jumeirah has to offer, including the kids’ club, the spa, the dining and the beach.

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf are summerhouses and villas that are located between the Madinat waterways and the beach; it is home on the water’s edge’. The Malikaya Three Bedroom Villa has a separate dining room, bar, and kitchen, and all three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and a balcony. The pièce de résistance, however, is the private plunge pool and terrace, perfect for lazy family days in the sunshine.

Staying in a Malikaya Villa comes with benefits too: private butler service, early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability) and complimentary breakfast, daily afternoon tea and sundowners served in your villa.

Wellbeing & Relaxation

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is Destinology’s pick for when you want to relax. Located on the Palm Jumeirah, first impressions do not disappoint. Everyone who stays here is blown away by the porte-cochère and the reception of this Ottoman inspired palace. But we are not here for its grand elegance and opulence, although we do love it; we are here for the Talise Ottoman Spa.

The Talise Ottoman Spa is outstanding, breath-taking, spectacular, and we promise we aren’t exaggerating. The Spa has a Turkish hammam, thalassotherapy Pools, and snow rooms. The treatments are luxurious, calming the soul, invigorating your body, and soothing your mind.

From hot stone massage which provides ultra-deep relaxation to coffee peeling which gives your body a wake-up call, the Spa has an array of treatments to suit every physical and mental need and there is something for the whole family. If you are looking for a fitness boost the spa has private, personal training sessions for individuals, couples, and groups, which use resistance and cardiovascular training techniques.

Exquisite and Indulgent

The most exquisite and indulgent hotel in Dubai is the iconic Burj Al Arab. Its sail structure sits proudly on its own island adjacent to the wave that is Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The hotel boasts modern luxury and exceptional hospitality.

The Suites are the ultimate in opulence, and come with butler service and 24-hour concierge. No need to unpack, professional packing and unpacking is done for you as is your shoe shine. The pillow selection includes 9 options, and your bed can be personalised for your posture preference. Each of the bathrooms has a full-size Jacuzzi and separate five-head rain showers.

At the rear of the island, you’ll find The Terrace, an overwater beach space where the freshwater infinity pool seamlessly blends into the Arabian Gulf. In the pool, you’ll find four Jacuzzis in which to relax in, and a swim up bar serving a refreshing cocktail.

Dining is exquisite in all the restaurants, and venues are inspired by Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Guests must head to the 27th floor via the glass elevator to experience afternoon tea at Skyview Bar.
