Escape into another world, away from all the noise and crowds to epic wilderness on a grand scale. This is a Canada journey with everything included and in some style.

Hop around western Canada on a seaplane, from cosmopolitan Vancouver to the Great Bear Rainforest and up to the mountain resort of Whistler and staying in 5 star style.

Flying north from Vancouver, the wilderness opens out over an untouched coastline towards the highlight of Nimmo Bay – hidden in a magnificently secluded cove in the British Columbian rainforest.

Nimmo Bay is a base for an awesome Canadian safari. Picture yourself kayaking on a glassy lake or paddle boarding next to a glacier. See black or grizzly bears, whales, eagles and more. Awesome food and awesome activities are included, looked after by wonderful Canadian hosts, and toast the day with a lakeside hot tub true Canadian style.

Whale watching is included in Vancouver, or a dinner cruise if you prefer. And in Whistler, enjoy the some high life with days in the mountain air and lively nights in this mountain melting pot, always in 5 star style.

Practical Info

  • Day 1
    To Vancouver

Fly directly to Vancouver, Canada’s lively and attractive Pacific coast city, consistently voted as one of the world’s best. It’s one of those great harbour cities with a thriving art and culture scene, flanked by the majestic Rockies and a starting of point for adventure and activity.

We’ll meet you at the airport for a private transfer into the heart of the city and a 3 night stay.

  • Days 2 - 3

With two full days in Vancouver, there’s time to take in the atmosphere of the city, a city easily walk or cycleable and full of great bars and eateries to settle into an people watch.

Included in your stay is a full day whale watching cruise departing from the harbour. Whale watching trips go out all summer, with sightings of orca, humpback and sometime minke whales depending on season. There’s also porpoises, sea lions and sometimes bald eagles to spot.

IF you’d rather wait until tomorrow for wildlife, a Vancouver harbour sunset dinner cruise is a good alternative….or why not even do both.

  • Day 4
To Nimmo Bay and wild British Columbia

Hop into a small plane and via Port Hardy escape up into wild British Columbian rainforest.

This is the Canada of your dreams, epic scenery on a grand scale and a stylish yet unassumingly rustic wilderness lodge at Nimmo Bay.

As you fly over the untouched wilderness, surrounded by grand pine forests and jagged peaks, you’ll see Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort snuggled onto the lake shore. It’s accessible only by sea plane and far away from the real world.

We recommend four nights here, after all why rush it. Make sure to spend some time relaxing in the serenity of the forest, and enjoying the wonderful Canadian hospitality.

Plus there’s so much to do – see wildlife from bears to whales, go kayaking or paddle boarding, or strike out on a hike and enjoy the space.

  • Day 9
    To Whistler

To complement the Canadian rainforest and coastal wilderness up at Nimmo, a few days up in the mountains at Whistler is pretty cool.

And a great way to get there again is by float plane, avoiding a long transfer. That’s unless you want to hire a sports car to cruise up that mountain highway.

Stay for three nights in one of Whistler’s excellent resort hotels, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of this Rocky mountain hub.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler
  • Days 10 - 11

There’s no shortage of things to do in Whistler depending on how hectic you want things to get. Take the cable car for a ridge mountain trek, or hire a mountain bike and hit some of the world’s best off-road. We can arrange guided nature walks, E-bike tours or canoe trips for starters.

For something a little more relaxed, and something truly Canadian, we’ve included a salmon bake at Crystal Hut atop Blackcomb Mountain. It’s reached by jeep on a thrilling 4X4 mountain ride followed by a heart salmon dinner and glacier views.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler
  • Days 12 - 13
    Whistler and depart

After a relaxed morning, take the floatplane back to Vancouver and connect with your departure flight.

If you want to stay longer you could take the Rocky Mountaineer over to Banff, or hire a car and drive further into the mountains. Or head to Vancouver island for Canadian wilderness and frontier culture.
