    Travel from the UK to Cairns with the most direct option out of London means just one stop in Hong Kong.

    Arrive into Cairns early on day three and transfer to your hotel located in the city centre, easy reach of the seafront, restaurant and bars as you relax in this vibrant town.

    Board Coral Expeditions II

    Boarding for the cruise begins in late afternoon, so a few hours on land in Cairns to make the most of what it has to offer.  Board the ship at 4pm and settle into your cabin  before you depart into the turquoise waters off the Queensland coast. Cruise Trinity Bay, past the town of Palm Cove and Double Island with welcome drinks and Captain’s seafood buffet.

  • Day 5
    Barrier Reef & Cooktown

    After sailing north up the coast, this morning visit Cooktown, the James Cook museum and the botanic gardens where you may see kangaroos and wallabies. Then it’s to the nearby reef where you can snorkel among the teeming coral and take a glass bottom boat journey. Then relax under the stars after dinner as you travel along the coast and reef.

  • Day 6
    Lizard Island & Ribbon Reef

    Arrive this morning on Lizard Island, one of the world’s most beautiful tropical islands. Snorkel from the beach over the giant clam gardens and there’s an optional walk to Cook’s Look for beautiful views of the reef. This afternoon you will arrive at Ribbon Reef, one of the rarely visited outer reefs where you can snorkel or go out on the glass bottom boat with the marine biologist.

  • Day 7
    Ribbon Reefs

    Full day to explore the pristine Ribbon Reefs, accessed only by liveaboard cruises, a string of ten individual coral reefs, astounding in their biodiversity. There more chances for snorkelling and glass bottom boat trips, viewing different marine life at each stop. The day also includes Rachel Carson Reef and an onboard presentation.

  • Day 8
    Return to Cairns and onto Port Douglas

    Arrive back into Cairns early in the morning and pick up a transfer to Port Douglas. Upon arrival in this relaxed seaside town, you can chill at the hotel or head down to the sweeping bay of Four Mile Beach.

    Port Douglas

    A final full day to relax in tropical Queensland. Optional excursions are available into the Daintree Rainforest, home to Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation, if you don’t want to sit by the pool or on the beach soaking up the sun!

    Port Douglas to the UK

    Return to Cairns airport by car transfer for an overnight flight back to the UK.  Maybe extend your stay in Australia if you wish; see more of Queensland, travel into the Red Centre or see the major cities or Sydney or Melbourne.
