  • Day 1
    UK to Toronto

    Take a flight from the UK to Toronto.  Direct services are available from Heathrow on a daily basis year-round, while Air Canada and Air Transat offer flights from Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh on a limited or summer only service.  Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you from the airport to your hotel for the night.

  • Day 2
    Niagara Falls

    Enjoy a full-day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls. The route takes you through the lush fruit growing district and wine region of the Niagara Peninsula. Marvel at the spectacle of the famous Niagara Falls and step aboard the Hornblower Niagara Cruises ‘Voyage to the Falls’ boat tour for a fantastic trip to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. You will have ample time at the Falls to take pictures and admire the thundering waters or stroll around the town. Highlights include three-course lunch overlooking the falls and time in Niagara on the Lake including wine tasting at one of the many local wineries.

  • Day 3
    Toronto to Ottawa

    This morning, transfer independently to Union Station and board VIA Rail’s ‘The Corridor’ train to Ottawa. You will be passing quaint little towns along Lake Ontario, the historic city of Kingston and the Thousand Islands region before heading north in the direction of the capital. Upon arrival in Ottawa, the remainder of the day is free to explore the charms of Canada’s capital city. Take a stroll along the famous Rideau Canal or discover what the bustling Byward Market has to offer.

  • Day 4

    Ottawa is not just the capital of the Canadian government, Ottawa is also one of the most diverse cities in the world, offering everything from world-class sporting events and shopping adventure to museum and family activities. Ottawa has it all. Situated on the Ottawa River about 125 miles west of Montreal, Ottawa is a unique mix of old and new, history and technology, excitement and relaxation. Among the many historic sites in Ottawa are the Canadian War Museum, Parliament Hill, Museum of Civilization, Rideau Hall, RCMP Museum and Stables, National Aviation Museum, Royal Canadian Mint, National Gallery, Dow's Lake, Experimental Farm and the Museum of Nature. Today is a free day to explore.

  • Day 5
    Ottawa to Montreal

    Make your own way back to the station in Ottawa this morning for your onward journey to Montreal.  Taking less than two hours, travel through rural Ontario featuring maple forests and pasturelands before crossing into Quebec at Coteau.  Cross the Ottawa River and pass through Dorval Station before arriving into Central Station, conveniently located under the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth’s lobby – your hotel for the night.

  • Day 6
    Montreal City Tour

    A complete three hour tour of the city, taking in over 200 points of interest, including a photo stop at the Notre-Dame-Basilica, a visit of St. Joseph's Oratory, residential and financial districts, Old Montreal, French Quarter, stop for an outside view of Olympic Stadium, McGill University and a stop for a panoramic view from an observation point on top of Mont Royal. Discover the city through hundreds of places of interest with an uninterrupted commentary of a friendly, knowledgeable bilingual guide.

  • Day 7
    Montreal to Quebec

    Following the St. Lawrence River, pass from city suburbs to the rural landscapes of forests and rich pastures, dotted with tiny villages that extend to Quebec City. For the first hour, you will note the rugged Monteregian Hills that seem to loom up from nowhere. These huge volcanic mounds were formed over 120 million years ago. There are seven of these hills in a row, including Mont Royal in Montreal, ending with Monte Rouge near the tiny village of Boloeil. Many of the trees you view are maple trees, producing the great Canadian staple, maple syrup. Your rail journey is just over two hours to Quebec, the oldest walled city in North America and heart of the French Canadian culture of Canada. In Quebec, arrive at Gare du Palais, located near the harbour in old town Quebec.

  • Day 8
    Quebec City Tour

    Experience the European charm of the first French settlement in North America. This is your chance to visit history first hand. The Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, Ramparts, world famous Château Frontenac, National Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place-Royale, Citadelle and a glimpse of modern Québec City are the perfect introduction to the city.

  • Days 9 - 10
    Quebec to the UK

    A final day to explore old and new Quebec before taking a private transfer to the airport.  As yet there are no direct flights back to the UK so travel via Montreal or Toronto on an overnight service back to the UK.
