    UK to Canada

    Travel from the UK to Calgary, with direct options available from London Heathrow and Gatwick.  Upon arrival, take a comfortable coach transfer to Banff, a picturesque town in the Rocky Mountains.

  • Day 2
    Banff

    Spend a day getting to know Banff.  Located in the Bow River Valley, the stunning town is surrounded by imposing mountains.  Admire the views of Cascade Mountain from the quaint downtown or take the Gondola ride to the summit of sulphur mountain for amazing views over the valley.  Stroll the downtown, explore Banff National Park or just enjoy the mountain air.

  • Day 3
    The Icefields Parkway - Banff to Jasper

    Today travel on one of the worlds most stunning drives as you take the Icefield Parkway from Banff to Jasper.  The road cuts its way through the Rocky Mountains for nearly 200 miles.  On your journey you will see stunning lakes as well as snow covered peaks.  Stop along the way to visit the Athabasca Glacier where you can travel over the ancient ice in a custom-made ice explorer.  Then brave the glass Glacier Skywalk, perched high above the valley with amazing view.

  • Day 4
    Jasper

    Full day in Jasper to explore the town or Jasper National Park, home to stunning lakes, abundant wildlife and towering mountains. Take a cruise on one of many local lakes, with Maligne Lake being probably the most famous.  As a winter ski resort, Jasper also has a cable car if you want to see the views from the peak, take the Sky Tram to the top of the mountains.

  • Day 5
    Rocky Mountaineer - Jasper to Kamloops

    Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.

    Breakfast & lunch are provided on the train

    Accommodation overnight in Kamloops is allocated by Rocky Mountaineer on check-in.

  • Day 6
    Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops to Vancouver

    Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

  • Day 7
    Vancouver

    Spend a full day in the wonderful city of Vancouver.  Located on a peninsular, the city is surrounded on three sides by water.  Head to Canada Place, close to downtown and located waterfront it is home to the cruise ship terminal as well as attractions such as Fly Over Canada and an array of bars and restaurants.  Pick up those last-minute gifts or treat yourself on Robson Street or pass time with a walk or bike ride around Stanley Park.   Vancouver is an amazing city and its easy to spend time enjoying yourself in such a place.

  • Days 8 - 9
    Vancouver to the UK

    The flight home is likely to be later during your final day so enjoy a morning and lunch in Vancouver before transferring to the airport for an overnight return to the  UK.
