Start off today with a chance to see whales. Giant sperm whales are the stars of the show and year-round residents. A typical tour may encounter New Zealand fur seals, pods of dusky dolphins and the endangered wandering albatross. After this amazing experience, travel to Blenheim, situated in the Marlborough region of New Zealand on the north east corner of the South Island.

Discover Nelson, an irresistible blend of lifestyle and stunning landscape at the top northwest corner of the South Island. From the northern edge of the Southern Alps across the fertile plains and out to a great sweep of beaches, it is laid out under a generous sun that delivers New Zealand's highest sunshine hours.
Travel the length of the park on a scenic cruise to Totaranui and back to Torrent Bay and walk to Bark Bay to meet the aqua taxi again for the return journey. Named for Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, who first visited the region in 1642, this national park is New Zealand's smallest - but it's perfectly formed for relaxation and adventure.
Head to Punakaiki, a small community on the West Coast of the South Island, located between Westport and Greymouth. The community lies on the edge of the Paparoa National Park.
At 13 kilometres long, Fox Glacier stands as the longest of the awe-inspiring New Zealand west coast glaciers. At its head, soaring peaks of over 10,000ft dominate the vista.
Continue south along the coast overlooking the Tasman Sea and head to Lake Wanaka. The town of Wanaka is situated at the Southern end of the lake adjacent to the outflow into the Clutha River. It is also the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park.
The drive to Queenstown is the last journey you will make in your car hire. The town has captured hearts since the first Maori came in search of Pounamu (greenstone or jade) and to hunt the giant Moa Bird and the same magic remains today.
