    To Cape Town

    Arrive this morning and a private transfer to your MORE Quarters boutique hotel for 3 nights. Stay in in the heart of Cape Town, just a short stroll from the Company Gardens and the cultural centre of the city, and close to vibrant Kloof Street with its lively neighbourhood bars and eateries. Spend the fist day exploring the city and if it’s clear why not head up to Table Mountain on the cable car.

    Cape Town

    Cape Town and the Cape Of Good Hope

    A full day excursion on Cape town and the beautiful, sweeping coast beyond. See African penguins at boulders beach and visit the Cape of Good Hope where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Returning to the steep hills surrounding the harbour, visit Kirstenboch Botanical Gardens with its collection of colourful Cape flora on the flanks of Table Mountain.

  • Day 4
    Cape Town

    A day at leisure in the city. Why not explore the harbour, perhaps head to Camps Bay for lunch, or if the season is right head out whale watching. If you are around in the afternoon, dive in to the complimentary afternoon tea at MORE Quarters.

  • Day 5
    Cape Winelands

    Transfer or self drive into the Cape Winelands. Soon out of the city you will travel through the fertile farmlands of the bountiful Cape and into the picturesque peaks. Head through the small town of Wellington and stay at Grand Dedale in the Doolhof wine estate, set on the Kromme River and tucked into the valley beneath three mountain ranges, it is a dramatic entrance and a place to get away from it all to experience the style and culture of the heart of South Africa’s wine region.

  • Day 6
    Cape Winelands

    Start your day with a plentiful Cap Classique breakfast and take in the exquisite surroundings and then the day is yours. Be sure to head to the tasting rooms to try Doolhof’s award winning wines, or head in to Wellington or further afield into the winelands.

  • Day 7
    Safari at Jabulani

    Transfer to Cape Town and fly across country to Hoedspruit, the gateway of the north eastern game reserves. you will be met on arrival for the short transfer to Kapama Game Reserve and after a drive through the reserve where you may spot your first sightings of African big game, arrive Jabulani Safari for a stay of 3 nights. Settle in to your luxurious suite, relax on the private deck and maybe spot some curious impala sniffing around. Time permitting in the evening head out with your ranger on a game drive, in search of giraffe, zebra, rhino and big cats, not forgetting elephant. Enjoy a sundowner with views of the plains and mountains beyond. Then return to the lodge for dinner with personal service and reflect on the day.

  • Day 8
    Jabulani Safari

    Begin the day at dawn to head out into the bush when the animals are most active, a thrilling time to be out in the wild in your open jeep along with your expert game ranger. The Kapama reserve is a Big Five game experience and has a great variety of game. Head back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and relax, perhaps with a dip in the plunge pool, there is always plenty to see. In the afternoon head out again for an afternoon to sunset game drive. A fine dining dinner is served each evening in the open plan restaurant set among the leadwood trees.

    Jabulani Safari

    More game drives are included today. Jabulani is at the forefront of animal conservation in South Africa, and there’s the possibility during your stay to visit the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, including its cheetah breeding facility. A highlight of any stay at Jabulani, which may be made at any time during a stay, is an elephant interaction experience with some of the herd of rescue elephants. Indeed, the huge and beautiful elephant Jabulani is what gives the lodge its name and is famous as the logo of amarula! It’s an unforgettable and intense experience.

    After a breakfast, depending on timings, transfer to Hoedspruit for a flight to Johannesburg and connect to an overnight international return flight.

More Quarters is situated in the suburb of Gardens, Cape Town City. A few minutes away guests can find the hustle and bustle of Victoria and Alfred Waterfront with its vibrant culture however, More Quarters itself sits just outside of the tourist build up, providing a little peace and quiet. Named after the rescue elephant Jabulani, this welcoming and luxurious lodge is located on the edge of Kruger at the private Kapama Game Reserve. Large rooms are set around a river and waterhole in a style of the golden age of Africa travel. Game drive here reveal the big 5 and a large selection of other animal and bird life with expert guides and the service all through the lodge is first class and personal. Nearby is the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, with a visit included for all guests. All this is a feature in itself, yet the stars of the show are no doubt the herd of rescue elephants resident by the lodge, and guests can experience the thrill of close interaction with the herd as they return home at the end of the day. Nothing beats feeding these gentle giants, hearing about their story, and seeing them by the waterhole as you enjoy a sundowner with the Drakensberg peaks on the horizon.
