    UK to Hanoi

    Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be met for a private transfer to your hotel. With the rest of the day at leisure, you may wish to go and explore for yourself, or simply unwind in your city centre base.

  • Day 3
    Hanoi tour & hosted dinner

    With a private guide, discover the historic landmarks of the city. Visit the Thang Long Imperial Temple and the underground war bunker, stroll through the old quarter where each street is dedicated to a different trade and head to the ancient Temple of Literature. Later, take part in an exclusive hosted dinner with chef Ai – something only available through this tour. After meeting at her house, walk down to the market to pick out your ingredients, then head back for a masterclass in Vietnamese cooking. Sit back, relax and watch as the flavours come to life.

  • Day 4
    Hanoi local life

    Get a glimpse into everyday Hanoi life this morning, your guide will take you down to the streets surrounding the railway. Wander past people playing chess and cooking in the street, and enter the tiny home of an 80-year old resident. He will show you the art of hang trong painting and his collection from over the years. continue over the Red River to the station and hop on a train for a ten-minute journey back to base.

  • Day 5
    Halong Bay

    After a couple hour’s drive to the coast, board your boat and set sail towards Lan Ha Bay, a peaceful section of Halong Bay. Take in the scenery as you glide along the waters, past the limestone karsts and white sand beaches. The pool and spa offer the perfect place to watch the world go by. Or if feeling adventurous, get in a kayak and explore for yourself.

  • Day 6
    Hanoi to Hoi An

    Take in the still serenity of the bay over breakfast, as the sun rises over the karsts and the boat slowly makes its way back towards port. A beautiful start to the day. Back on land, transfer to Hanoi airport for your business class flight to Danang. Here, you will be met and guided to your hotel.

  • Day 7
    Hoi An & hosted dinner

    Led by a conservation expert, learn about the various UNESCO projects taking place in Hoi An. Wander the flower-lined streets, visit the historical landmarks and take in the laidback vibe of Ancient Town, where traffic is none existent.

    In the evening, enjoy hosted dinner at a local family’s home. This is a time where all family members come together and share in conversation. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have, while serving up some tasty Vietnamese delights.

  • Day 8
    Hoi An at leisure

    The day is yours to do with as you please. A chance to stop and take it all in perhaps, maybe some time around the pool. Alternatively, explore further afield with a bicycle tour around the countryside. There are beaches nearby if you fancy a day on the sand. In the evening, enjoy an ice-cold glass of bia hoi by the Thu Bon River.

  • Day 9
    Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh

    A private transfer will take you to the airport for your business class flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, you will be met and guided to your hotel, a sleek city centre base.

  • Day 10
    Cu Chi tunnels & Saigon tour

    After a short drive to the Saigon River banks, board a speed boat for a thrilling ride to the Cu Chi tunnels. Once there, explore the intricate network of 200km underground tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war.

    Head back to the city and take an afternoon tour of the sights, from Central Post Office to Gialong Palace. Walk the energetic streets where old buildings sit alongside soaring skyscrapers, and mingle with the locals at one of the stylish coffee shops.

  • Day 11
    Ho Chi Minh at leisure

    Another day at leisure before your journey comes to a close, with an optional tour being a day in Ben Tre. On the edge of the Mekong Delta, take a ride through the coconut groves, rice paddies and fruit farms. Cruise along the canal and stop by workshops, then meet a local family for an insight into their life. The experience ends with dinner and a stroll through the gardens of Mr Sau Tuong, famous in the village for his crispy rice paper.
