  • Days 1 - 2
    Culture, Tea and Beach - 10nts

    Arrive in Colombo where you will be guided through immigration and escorted to your reserved lounge. You will then meet your chauffeur/guide who will accompany throughout your stay in Sri Lanka. Once your luggage has been cleared through customs and brought to the lounge you can make your way to The Wallawwa

    The Wallawwa is an award winning 18 bedroom country house with gourmet food, jungle pool and a heavenly spa.

  • Day 2
    Visit The Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy

    After breakfast you will make your way to Kandy & Check in at Kandy House. This is an opportunity to stay at a unique ancestral manor house providing seclusion and serenity for its guests in a lush, tropical garden setting close to Kandy. We aim to give guests an experience of staying more in a private house than a conventional hotel. 

    Spend time exploring the famous Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic, also known as the 'Dalada Maligawa' in Kandy is one of the most venerated places of worship for Buddhists. End your day with walk on small lanes and back roads to discover the heritage of Kandy through its people, who carry on the traditions of the Kandyan Kingdom. A resident of Kandy will accompany clients on a walking tour and giving his own perspective on the streets he grew up in.

  • Day 3
    Visit to a Traditional Dancing School

    After breakfast visit a Traditional Dancing School. This experience is very engaging as our local dancing master will teach you the basics of dancing and drumming if you are interested.  

    Transfer back to the hotel and spend your evening at leisure.

  • Day 4
    Train Journey from Kandy to Hatton

    After breakfast at Kandy House you will check out and head to Kandy Railway station, you will be taken the train from Kandy to Hatton. 

    Travelling by train is probably the most attractive way to get about in the lush green Sri Lankan hill country. The ride gives you the opportunity to witness magical landscapes and views. 

    The train journey is approximately 2 hour & 15 minutes to Hatton. Your chauffeur guide will meanwhile drive to Hatton with your luggage and await your arrival then you will proceed to Camellia Hills. Experience the life of a modern-day tea planter at Camellia Hills, a luxurious five-bedroom boutique bungalow hotel near Dickoya, in Sri Lanka’s crisp hill country.

  • Day 5
    Visit a Tea Plantation

    After breakfast visit a local Tea Plantation arranged by Camellia Hills. 

    The resident Tea Planter will demonstrate the age-old tea making process. First, follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon, as they trekked through the dense jungle looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Then on to watch the tea pluckers pick two leaves and a bud with deft hands. Then to the factory where the all-important conversion to “made” black tea happens.

    Travel to Balapitya

    This morning after breakfast, check-out of your hotel and your chauffeur guide will drive to you Balapitya, the drive is approximately 5hrs and 20mins.

    Check in at Kumu Beach.   • Day 8
    Visit Galle Fort. A UNESCO World Heritage Site

    Breakfast and morning at leisure before you visit The Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Historically, the award winning World Heritage fortified township was a port of call for Chinese, Persian, Arab and Indian Traders. Years later the Portuguese arrived and built a settlement with a fort of palm trees and mud. This was then captured by the Dutch and British. 

    You will explore the fort and landmarks such as the Dutch church, Governor's house, Spice warehouse to name a few not forgetting a variety of exclusive boutique stores to explore.

    Return to your hotel for dinner, or you can choose to have dinner at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the Galle Fort.

  • Day 9
    Evening visit to a Turtle Hatchery

    After breakfast at your hotel spend your day at leisure. In the evening visit a local Turtle Hatchery. 

    The turtle hatchery you will visit is involved in conserving sea turtles. Once the eggs are collected from the shores they are carefully retained under the protection of the hatchery.

    Day of leisure

    Breakfast at your hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
