Beginning by Lake Victoria, this tour will take you through acres of tea plantations, into lush forest awash with primates and on exciting game drives in the Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. You will be guided by boat along the Kazinga Channel and thrill at the sight of colobus monkeys and chimpanzees as you trek the jungle. Finally, at Bwindi National Park, you will have the privilege of taking an extended trek through the rainforest to view the endangered but magnificent gorilla as it goes about its everyday family life in the wild.

  • Day 1
    Entebbe Arrival

    You will be met on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and taken to your hotel on the shores of Lake Victoria.

  • Day 2
    Lake Victoria to Kibale National Park

    Head to Kibale National Park. Along the way you will pass many tea plantations, stopping for a closer look at one with an opportunity to interact with the tea-pickers. There is also chance to visit a local market.

  • Day 3
    Chimpanzee Trekking

    Kibale’s National Park covers 795sqkm and has a high point of 1590m above sea level. It contains beautiful tropical forest and is home to 13 species of primate including chimpanzees, which you will discover on a trekking experience.

  • Day 4
    Game Drive and The Kazinga Channel

    Following an early morning game drive, take a gentle boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. In this region there are over 100 mammal species including lion, hippo, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, elephant and giant forest hog.

  • Day 5
    Game drive and Bwindi National Park

    Depart for Bwindi National Park, home of endangered mountain gorillas. Along the way you’ll enjoy a game drive in Ishasha wilderness sector, renowned for the tree-climbing lions.

  • Day 6
    Gorilla Trekking

    An early start will reward you with the thrill of gorilla trekking. Led by an experienced ranger, this exciting wildlife adventure will last between two and six hours. An alternative to this activity would be one of several shorter walks such as the Munyaga Waterfalls which takes about three hours.

‘Understated Ugandan Utpoia’

Ndali Lodge enjoys a privileged position high on a hill in the midst of the Buyuruguru Crater Lakes. Its self-contained stone cottages are dotted throughout lush, vibrant gardens along a ridge presiding over rolling hills lined with banana plantations with the rugged Rwenzori mountains as a backdrop. Behind the lodge, the hill drops steeply down to the scenic Lake Nyinambuga. Rooms are spacious and airy with a private terrace and en-suite bathrooms with large baths. The main lodge is light and inviting with large windows and French doors leading out a verandah. Ndali features a pool surrounded by sun loungers, and a well-stocked and diverse library in the main area.

‘Converted Coffee Plantation, Mountains and Savannah’

Kyambura Gorge Lodge is converted from an old coffee processing plant and offers a great location for wetland touring, safaris, chimpanzee treks and more. There are fantastic views which overlook the Queen Elizabeth National Park with the Rwenzori Mountains in the background. Eight unique bandas with grass thatched roofs are nestled into the hillside and each has their own luxury bathroom The main lodge building was the original coffee store and used to be surrounded by plantations. The original structure has been renovated to restore it into a modern and stylish area for guests to relax making it the ultimate safari accommodation with outdoor decks, campfire and swimming pool.
